Diapers & Wipes Party

Last weekend while Shasta was busy having her baby shower, my brother decided to throw me a guys shower. Its called a Daiper & Wipes party, but its just another reason for all the guys to get together and drink a few beers. The only thing was that everyone had to bring either diapers or wipes or both. Needless to say we got a ton! My dad was nice enough to provide us with pork steak on the bar-b-que. I beleive we ended up with roughly 1000 diapers and 1000 wipes. Hopefully, these will last us for a little while. Here a couple pictures of the goods:

Can’t wait to meet the little guy who has been kicking me

I remember the first time I felt that little flutter, it was my son kicking and I was able to feel it for the first time. Now, that little boy is really starting to kick and maybe even punch. I am constantly amazed by how much he is moving and that I can feel all of it. These days my entire belly moves when he kicks, which I just love. I also love to see Brad’s face when he sees my belly move like a bowl of jello. Sometimes when he kicks it looks like a ripple through water.

He is starting to kick a lot in the morning and then right before I go to bed. We seem to have the same sleep/awake pattern, which I hope is an indication of what I can expect when he is born…..but I won’t count on that!

I Passed!

Last week I had to take a glucose test, which I thought was just another opportunity for them to take even MORE blood. So I strolled into the Lab Corp office thinking I was just there for a quickie. I was called to the back and handed a cute little bottle filled with red liquid. Then I was told I had five minutes to drink it and then I would have to wait an hour before they could draw blood. OMG, why didn’t any one tell me that would be the sweetest drink I would ever have. Now, I love sweets and especially love candy, but that drink was ridiculously sweet. Anyways, I passed my glucose test, which means I am not at risk for gestational diabetes. Woo Hoo!!
