Well today was the 35 week Ultrasound. Everything looked great. Our little guy is estimated to weigh 6lbs 13oz as of today. He already weighs more than I did at birth. He is weighing and measuring 2 weeks early. We had some more 3D pictures taken, which we will post at the end of this blog.
Here's where it gets interesting. I guess I spoke too soon.....earlier this week I was telling a co-worker how easy this pregnancy has been. And that I have had no issues and no problems. Today, Brad and I found ourselves in the hospital after our visit with the doctor. The doctor was concerned about my high blood pressure. She wanted me to go directly to the hospital to have blood work done as well as 1 1/2 hours worth of monitoring. My doctor decided this after checking my blood pressure, noticing my swelling, and my sudden amount of weight gain within 1 weeks time. All of this led the doctor to believe I may have Preeclampsia. She has also confined me to bed rest...per doctors orders! In the end, the blood work came out fine, and my blood pressure steadily dropped. Momma, baby, and daddy are fine! The doctor and nurses at the hospital are not concerned at this point and we are now playing the waiting game. There is the possibility we will get to meet our little guy a little sooner than we thought, but who knows.
